About Yakola

Views Views Views…

Ocean, city, mountain views and surf views up to Noosa, sunrise and sunset views… from this vantage point high and private on the hill, 500m from Alex Surf Club and the Pacific Ocean, next to Mooloolaba.

This is a truly inspirational beach house…
The property is marooned high on the headland like a stranded ark, a massive structure of steel concrete and glass with the coast’s best viewing deck… a house where you find different “theme styles” in different areas.

The very modern master bedroom retreat contains a giant ensuite, another master bedroom retreat is Mediterranean in style with white masonry, roman travertine and terracotta.  Both feature spa baths with ocean views and the morning sunrise can be observed from all bedrooms.

You will find two living areas attached to the respective master bedroom retreats and this makes this a great house to share with your family or friends.

Ocean views can be found everywhere.  Various sitting areas add interest and diversity.  The formal dining and an adjoining breakfast area extend to the covered balcony area where more sitting and dining settings can be found.

The privacy is great and neighbours are not visually imposing.

The house emits a “warm feel”.  Its furnishings are stylish and “homely” with natural timber and Persian rugs, wicker couch and stools and stone and marble in the main living and dining areas.

Arabescatto Carrara marble covers the kitchen benches and windows facing north-west and east make the position of the kitchen feel like a commando bridge with the ship’s deck out the front and ships railing to the east (balcony).

This “ships deck” is an enormous sky deck on level 3 floats out from the kitchen lounge dining areas.  Bon fires can be arranged on this deck during winter periods and selected summer nights.

One walk way to the beach (patrolled surf beach) leads through the Alex Forest and another through residential enclave “Alex Shores”.

Early morning surfing is best near the Maroochy River mouth, located 1.5km to the north of the property.  For surfing later in the day Alex Bluff is popular, located right in the heart of Alex Beach (a patrolled beach area).

There is a very popular ocean kayaking spot along this coast line.  Windsurfing is best at Mooloolaba on breezy summer afternoons.  Kite surfing is available at Maroochy River mouth and Kawana Beach point break at Point Cartwright.

Maroochy River Estuary via Alex Beach and Alexandra Headland to Mooloolaba (and vice versa) provides a very popular morning and afternoon beach walk with the locals, visitors and fitness fanatics alike.

Description of 21 Yakola:

Due to the elevation of this house, you need little air-conditioning in summer; however air-conditioning is available in strategic areas (dining room and three of the bedrooms).

The exposure is ideal for viewing the coast-scape, sunrise, sunset, clouds, rain storms, and moonrise over sea.
